Woman wanted for failing to remit company funds

Police are now hunting a 26-year-old woman who failed to remit more than P300,000 in cash to her employer in Pasig City.
An Eastern Police District (EPD) police report showed that Salve Laniog, sales assistant of Shell Canvas at Home Depot in Ortigas Center, Pasig, has been reported missing since March this year.
Chief Inspector Rolly Vilar, head of the EPD-Criminal Investigation Unit (EPD-CIU), said Laniog failed to remit a total of P343,780.75 in cash from customers of Shell Canvas to her employer.
Her employer reportedly tried to contact her through her cellular phone but she could not be reached. They also found out that Laniog did not reside at the address she gave her employer.
Police are now conducting an investigation on the case.s The suspect is also facing criminal charges. Sandy Araneta
