A 37-year-old taxi driver is now in critical condition after he was shot by four unidentified suspects Monday night in Taguig City.
Police probers led by PO3 Aaron Balauat said Jose Allan de Guzman, a resident of Blk 20, Lot 12, 3rd Street, Golden Gate Subdivision, Las Piñas City, was in the area of SM South Mall in Las Piñas City, when his taxi (PWS-874) was flagged down by the four suspects around 10 p.m.
The suspects once inside the vehicle, ordered the victim to bring them to Taguig City. As they were cruising along the northbound lane of the South Luzon Expressway, nearing the Fort Bonifacio area, the suspects armed with a handgun and a bladed weapon, declared a hold-up.
De Guzman refused to hand them his belongings and this reportedly prompted the suspects to shoot the victim once, and stabbed him as well several times in the different parts of the body.
