Bataoil sacked Superintendent Joselito Pajarillaga from his post as Caloocan Police Station North (Caloocan) Extension office (NEO) chief and designated as officer-in-charge Superintendent Mario Dapilloza.
The NPD chief has also ordered District Intelligence and Investigation Division (DIID) chief Superintendent Jimili Macaraeg to investigate Pajarillaga.
Bataoil identified the robbery suspect who escaped from police custody as Alvin Quiambao, alias Lupin.
"At 10 p.m. on Sunday, I personally instructed Superintendent Pajarillaga to make sure that Quiambao wont escape because he was tagged as one of the most notorious "Akyat-Bahay" suspect in the area," said Bataoil.
Quiambao, however, escaped at 2 a.m. yesterday while in the custody of two guards identified as PO2s Allan Pena and Joel Casim.
Senior Superintendent Geronimo Reside, Caloocan police chief, yesterday signed Pajarillagas relief order pursuant to Bataoils earlier directive.
Quiambao and one Lito Ligot were arrested last Sunday in Caloocan City North after they bulglarized the house of one Lailani Tiglao, a resident of Cristina Homes Subdivision.
Tiglao, a former overseas Filipino worker, told the cops that the robbers took two mobile phones, a Rolex wristwatch worth P100,000, a divers watch amounging to P40,000, a P13,000 wedding ring and other personal belongings.
She sought the help of the Speacial Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team in tracking down the suspects, which resulted in their immediate arrest. With Pete Laude, Zsarina Salazar, Michelle Ann Babagay, Kris Rodette Belanizo
