Malacañang has not yet appointed the replacement of NCRCOM chief Lt. Gen. Allan Cabalquinto, who retired yesterday.
His deputy, Brig. Gen. Salvador Penaflo, took over his post and will assume command until a permanent NCRCOM chief is appointed.
