3 suspected women drug pushers nabbed

Three suspected women drug pushers were arrested by drug operatives in Muntinlupa City recently.

Elements of the city’s Anti-Illegal Drugs-Special Operations Task Force (AID-SOTF) and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) nabbed Marilyn Santos, 39; and Arlene Valera, 36; in a successful buy-bust operation along A. Bautista Street in Barangay Bayanan.

Seized from the suspects were 297.76 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu placed in a cellphone box. The substance was estimated to cost P750,000.

Charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) were filed against the two women.

Meanwhile, the AID-SOTF arrested another woman for drug pushing in a buy-bust operation along Rizal Street corner Tuazon Street in Barangay Poblacion. The suspect was identified as Marlyn delos Reyes, 24.

Police seized one piece of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu from Delos Reyes who is now also facing charges for violation of RA 9165. — Rhodina Villanueva
