A former Navotas policeman wanted for murder 11 years ago and his notorious live-in partner fell in the hands of the authorities in a drug buy-bust operation early Wednesday night in Navotas.
Anti-narcotics operatives seized three small plastic sachets of suspected shabu with a street value of P10,000 from the suspects. They were brought to the NPD Crime Lab for drug testing and for lab examination of recovered evidence.
Superintendent Genesis Tolejano, Navotas police chief, identified the fugitive suspect as ex-PO2 Roger Eulin Felices, 39, of Barrio Malabo, Maysan, Valenzuela and a former drug operative in the Navotas police forces.
Felices was arrested at 6:45 Wednesday night in a drug bust operation together with his lover Ruby Martin de Leon, 33, at her house in 53 Bagong Kalsada street, Barangay Tangos, Navotas where they are known as the leading drug pushers in the area.
Navotas Mayor Toby Tiangco personally commended Tolejano and Station Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Unit (SAID-OUT) chief Senior Inspector Bernabe Irinco and their men for the arrest.
Northern Police District (NPD) director Chief Superintendent Leopoldo Bataoil said at the media presentation yesterday he was proud of his men and urged them to carry on. With Pete Laude
