Student dies in hazing

An 18-year-old student, belived to be a victim of a fraternity hazing, died yesterday at the Manila Sanitarium Hospital in Pasay City.

Senior Inspector Garry Reyes, head of the Makati Police Investigation Division, identified the victim as Clark Silverio, a mechanical engineering student of the Technical University of the Philippines (TUP).

He said that a freshman student of TUP brought the victim to the hospital.

The student is currently being interrogated by Makati police investigators.

He claimed that he just found the badly beaten Silverio at the corner of Vito Cruz and ABC streets in San Antonio Village, Makati.
