Student commits suicide inside Pasay City motel

Police are investigating the death of a 25-year-old college student who allegedly committed suicide inside a motel room in Pasay City yesterday.
Friedrich Canoy, of No. 1851 Espiritu Street, Baclaran, was found dead at around 8 a.m.
Homicide investigators are now trying to determine if this is indeed a case of suicide or there was foul play involved.
The victim was found dead inside room 215 by Eliseo Deparene, a room boy of the Queensland Lodge located along Harrison corner EDSA.
Canoy, a Criminology student at the Emilio Aguinaldo College, hanged himself using rolled blankets.
Pasay City police authorities were immediately notified of the incident and Scene Of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) were sent to the motel to investigate.
There were also evidence that Canoy tried to slash his wrist .
Reports said the suicide victim had been a regular customer of the motel but has yet to be determined if he checked-in alone or with someone the night before he died.
Motel attendants who were on duty when Canoy checked-in will be questioned by police investigators to shed more light into the incident. Michael Punongbayan
