February 18, 2006 | 12:00am
A 33-year-old employee of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) died when he fell from the rooftop of the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) building in Pasig City.
Lester Cauilan, CHED information system analyst 2 and a resident of Barangay Obrero in Quezon City, died from massive head and body injuries.
Police said Cauilan was in-charge of the System Administration of Management Information System (MIS) under William Medran, second executive director of CHED.
Police investigator PO2 Robert Garcia said security guard, Teotimo Dominisac, 27, heard a loud thud at about 10:45 a.m. yesterday.
When he rushed out of the building to investigate, the guard saw the victim lying in a pool of blood on the pavement near a food chain.
Fellow employees of Cauilan told police the victim was fixing cable lines when he fell.
"Malakas ang hangin noon kayat maaring nawala ang pagkakapit niya kayat nahulog siya," they told police. Sandy Araneta
