Valenzuela cops nab 3 suspected holdup men

Police arrested three men suspected of robbing an employee of cash and valuables before dawn yesterday in Valenzuela City.
Inspector Rhoderick Juan, Valenzuela City police Station Investigation Branch (SIB) chief, identified the suspects as Gregory Alparaz, 18, Sonny Hermoso, 22, a certain Jun-Jun, 15, all residents of Mercado street, in BArangay Gen. T. de Leon, Valenzuela City.
Maria Elsa Batero, 23, a resident of Sitio Kaingin in Barangay Gen. T. de Leon, told police that at around 1:30 a.m., she was walking along Star Apple street when four men armed with bladed weapons blocked her path.
The suspects divested the victim of her wristwatch and fled toward a dimly lit portion of the barangay.
The victim immediately sought the help of patrolling barangay watchmen, who accompanied Batero to the nearby police Sub-station 2.
A team, led by Police Officer 2 Gregorio Bazarte, with barangay watchmen, scourced the area, resulting in the arrest of the three suspects.
One of the suspects, however, escaped takingwith him their loot.
