Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. has assured the citys taxpayers that there will be more projects this year as a result of their continuing support for good governance and healthy fiscal management.
"Wherever you go in Quezon City, you will see city projects which are for the benefit of all the people, not for showcase purposes," the mayor said during the first flag-raising ceremony and talk program at City Hall last Monday.
Belmonte took the occasion to thank all taxpayers by honoring Lourdes Pamintuan for being the citys first taxpayer this year.
Pamintuan was at City Hall even before the flag ceremony to pay her taxes.
"We have a very long list of projects this year. Included in our list are the street-wide underpass between City Hall and the Quezon Memorial Circle and the improvements to the Quezon City Polytechnic University in San Bartolome, Novaliches," he pointed out.
