MIAA to conduct medical mission at Bilibid

-
The Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) has chosen the New Bilibid Prisons (NBP) in Muntinlupa City to be the beneficiary of a medical and dental mission and distribution of food, medical supplies and hospital beds.

Apart from a physical check-up of inmates of the NBP, there will be a distribution of free medicine as well as free ECG and X-ray check-ups rendered to inmates who want them.

Christmas bags containing canned goods and other food items will also be distributed.

Less than a hundred hospital beds will also be donated by MIAA to the NBP for their poorly-equipped infirmary.

The outreach project is MIAA’s Christmas offering this 2005 under their "Lingap Kapwa" social responsibility program.

Alfonso Cusi, MIAA general manager, has spearheaded Lingap Kapwa’s foray to help inmates of the NBP this Christmas.

"I am proud of the MIAA family in their commitment to what Lingap Kapwa upholds. It truly is a humbling and rewarding experience to be able to help our less fortunate brothers and sisters," Cusi said in a statement. – Rainier Allan Ronda
