Bus catches fire on EDSA

A public utility bus caught fire while waiting for passengers on EDSA in Makati City yesterday.
Makati arson investigators said faulty electrical wiring may have caused a Pascual Liner (PWM-340) to burst into flames at around 11 a.m.
The bus was near the corner of EDSA and Ayala Avenue when the incident happened.
No one was reported hurt in the fire.
Responding firemen, led by Senior Fire Officer 1 Samuel Guzman, arrived at the scene at around 11:30 a.m. By that time the bus was already engulfed by flames.
The fire was put out by responding firemen some 15 minutes later.At around noon, a Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) crew arrived at the scene to tow the damaged bus.
The MMDA Metrobase Office said the bus has been taken to the agencys impounding area on Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City. Rhodina Villanueva
