Barangay watchman stabbed dead

A barangay watchman was stabbed dead while another was critically wounded while responding to a distress call a few minutes past midnight yesterday in Malabon City.

Alijandro Sibulangcal, 39, a volunteer watchman of Barangay Tonsuya, sustained a stab wound in the chest.

Sibulangcal’s fellow watchman, Renerio Fernandez, also sustained a stab wound and is now confined at the Jose Reyes Memorial Hospital.

Police, however, are still holding the identities of the suspects pending further investigation. — Pete Laude
