Employee electrocuted in Mandaluyong

-
An advertising company employee fell to his death yesterday while attaching floodlights atop an advertisement board in front a shopping mall in Mandaluyong City.

Superintendent Ericson Velasquez, Mandaluyong City police chief, said the victim, identified as Michael Baguio, an employee of the MelMark Advertising Co. and a resident of Berbosos St., Iba, Meycauayan, Bulacan, was thrown off balance from where he was seated when he was electrocuted.

Baguio sustained massive body injuries and died while on the way to the Medical City Hospital in Pasig City.

Witnesses said Baguio was about to attach the last floodlight when he was electrocuted.

Velasquez said a rope was tied on Baguio’s waist and attached to a wooden beam but failed to save the victim. — Non Alquitran
