The body of Alexander Roque, between 40 and 45 years old, was discovered by a passerby along Dalaga street in Tondo at around 3:25 a.m.
The victims mouth was gagged by a piece of cloth and his hands bound with tape.
When found, the victim was barely alive due to multiple stab wounds on his chest.
Though near death, the victim was able to narrate how he and his son Alexander Jr. were waylaid by at least three persons as they were delivering a truckload of rice from the Baseco Compound in North Harbor to the province.
Roque said the suspects, who were on board a car, pulled him out of the truck
He was later brought to an unknown area where he was tied up, gagged and repeatedly stabbed by the suspects.
The elder Roque was taken to the Tondo Medical Center, but was declared dead on arrival.
Two hours later, police received a report about the presence of a body along Kaunlaran and Honorio Lopez streets in Balut, Tondo.
Based from the earlier description provided by the elder Roque, police said the body was that of his son, who was described as between 20 and 23 years old.
The second victim also sustained multiple stab wounds. His face and hands were covered and bound with tape.
Investigators said both father and son were slain by the hijackers and their bodies dumped in separate places.
Joint operatives of the Manila Police Districts Homicide Section, Theft and Robbery Section and the Anti-Carnapping Section are now hunting down the suspects.
