Former basketball player robbed of jewelry

-
A former basketball player of the Crispa team has complained to the Las Piñas police that the Akyat-Bahay gang robbed him of pieces of jewelry and other valuables amounting to P300,000.

The victim, Rodolfo Soriano, 58, married and resident of No. 22 Anahaw Street, Pilar Village, now works as a supervisor of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.

Soriano told Police Officer 3 Joel Cambi that the heist in his house occurred Tuesday around 8:15 p.m.

Initial investigation conducted by the police showed that the Sorianos and their helpers left the house early morning of Tuesday. When they reached home that night, they were surprised to see the house in disarray and the cabinet in the master’s bedroom was destroyed. The Sorianos’ jewelry and other valuables were taken by still unidentified suspects.

Police Inspector Ely Odi of the Southern Police District-Scene of the Crime Operatives, said the robbers could have entered Soriano’s room first since the windows were broken.
