Two hurt in clash of PUB drivers

A public utility bus driver and conductor were hurt when they figured in a roadside brawl with another group of bus drivers on Roxas Boulevard near the Cuneta Astrodome in Pasay City.
The melee started when a Ferdinand Liner provincial bus accidentally hit a Del Carmen Lines bus at around 8:45 p.m., destroying its side mirror.
The two unidentified drivers got into a heated argument when the driver of the Ferdinand bus refused to pay for the damage.
A visibly irate Del Carmen bus conductor then smashed the side mirror of the Ferdinand bus with a lead pipe, resulting in a rumble between the two groups.
Passengers rushed to get to out of both buses as the drivers and conductors chased each other with lead pipes while throwing rocks.
Another driver and conductor from another Ferdinand bus later arrived to help their colleagues in the melee that lasted almost 10 minutes.
The Ferdinand group was eventually able to overpower the Del Carmen duo. Both driver and conductor suffered injuries in the head and body. Rhodina Villanueva
