Two major roads in Makati Citys central business district will be closed to all vehicles from 2 p.m. onwards today, according to a traffic advisory issued by the city government.
Both lanes of Ayala Avenue from Makati Avenue all the way to Herrera street will be closed along with Paseo de Roxas from De la Rosa street to Sedeno street, the citys Department of Public Safety said.
The advisory stated that a candlelight vigil would be held at the Ninoy Aquino Monument, which is located at the corner of Ayala Avenue and Paseo de Roxas.
It made no mention of what group will be holding the activity, which is expected to last several hours.
Motorists are advised to take alternate routes.
The candlelight vigil will be held in the area where the United Opposition has been holding anti-government rallies.
