On March 29, 2003, The Philippine STAR published a story about a bottle-throwing incident at a bar in Makati City involving Nikolai Dy and Robin de Roza. The STAR inadvertently identified the former as the son of former Isabela Gov. Benjamin Dy when, in fact, he is his nephew from his brother Alex Dy.

The information was based on the investigation of the Makati police and due to time constraints, the reporter failed to verify the identity of Dy. Our apologies for the error for whatever inconvenience it caused the former governor’s family.
