Hunt on for Roldan girlfriend

Authorities are now hunting the girlfriend of former congressman and actor Dennis Roldan after a Pasig City judge issued a warrant of arrest for the kidnapping of a Filipino-Chinese boy.

Pasig City Judge Agnes Reyes-Carpio of Regional Trial Court 261 ordered the arrest of Suzzette See Wang, alias Suzette Co See, who was tagged as the co-mastermind in the abduction that took place at the Ortigas Center in Pasig city last Feb. 9.

"The PNP (Philippine National Police), in coordination with other government agencies, is now exerting full effort to trace the whereabouts of Wang for her eventual arrest," the Police Anti-Crime and Emergency Response (PACER) said in a statement.

Except for Wang, all the other suspects in the kidnapping-for-ransom case are now detained at the Pasig City jail.

Roldan (Mitchell Gumabao in real life), barangay captain Octavio Garces, Romeo Orcajada, Rowena Prado, Noel San Andres, and Adrian Domingo earlier pleaded "not guilty" to the charges.

The PNP said the prosecution has a strong case against them with the kidnap victim positively identifying them as his abductors.

A seventh suspect, Alberto Pagdanganan, turned state witness and is now helping the prosecution in establishing the guilt of the accused for kidnapping-for-ransom, a non-bailable offense.

The boy was abducted at the ground floor of an Ortigas condominium on his way to school.

Roldan, who acted as negotiator, demanded P250 million for the release of the boy.

The ransom was lowered, but there was no payoff made after operatives of PACER rescued the victim at a safehouse in Quezon City.
