More mobility for Caloocan revenue-generating offices

-
Caloocan City Mayor Enrico Echiverri has assigned 10 new vehicles to City Hall’s revenue-raising offices in a bid to improve the city’s tax collection.

Echiverri justified the purchase of the vehicles, brand-new Mitsubishi L-300 vans, by saying these will contribute to the more efficient collection of revenue by providing more mobility to the city revenue officers in carrying out their duties.

Instead of waiting for the taxpaying public to come to City Hall, the city government can conveniently bring the collection plate to the city’s clients right at their doorsteps, he pointed out.

Among the offices provided with the new vehicles were the Business Permit and Licensing Office, Real Property Division, Land Tax Division and offices under the City Treasurer’s Office.

With the new vehicles, Echiverri said employees should improve their collection and exert twice the effort in raising and achieving their targets.

At present, the mayor said, City Hall under his leadership has been consistent in surpassing the collection records of previous administrations.

Echiverri said he will not fail the people of Caloocan, promising to abide by his now well-known cry "Buwis na Binayaran, Para sa Bayan!"

He said he wants to assure the public that the trust given him by the people will go back to them in the form of even better service and more programs for their well-being.

Echiverri added that he will be continuing all the reforms he has begun even as he also asked the full support of the populace so that all his plans for a better city will be realized. He stressed that only with the cooperation and unity in mind and action of the leader and the people will these programs see fruition. – Jerry Botial
