A Taiwanese national was extremely grateful to two porters at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal I after they gave him back one of his traveling bags that got lost at the airport yesterday.
Han Chiu Chen, 66, a headmaster of the Shing Yi Temple in Sta. Cruz, Manila, and passenger of China Airlines Flight CI 637, thanked NAIA I porters Juanito Caday and Juanito Sabalboro, who found his black traveling bag that contained $2,200 in cash among other things at the arrival extension area of the airport at around 11:20 a.m.
The porters immediately turned over the bag to the Manila International Airport Authoritys Intelligence and Investigation Division office, where Chen, assisted by another porter Henry Daos, was taken after being informed of his recovered bag.
After verifying his identity and ownership of the bag, the MIAA-IDD turned over the bag to Chen.
It was learned that Chen is in the country to pay a visit to the Shing Yi Temple where he is the headmaster.
The MIAA is set to give a token cash reward and commendation to Caday and Sabalboro. Rainier Allan Ronda
