Manila pupils get free school supplies

-
Manila City Hall officials, led by Mayor Lito Atienza, distributed school supplies to public school students yesterday as part of the Atienza administration’s educational assistance program in all city-run elementary schools.

Atienza presided over the distribution of stroller bags and composition notebooks at the Maceda Integrated School in Sta. Mesa with school principals and teachers in other public schools distributing the same to elementary students yesterday.

In a report to Atienza, Manila Division of City Schools (DCS) superintendent Ma. Luisa Quiñones said a total of 112,845 stroller bags and 868,323 notebooks were initially distributed.

Other school supplies like pencils have been requisitioned as part of Atienza’s educational assistance to the city’s elementary school students.

As in previous years, City Hall has been providing educational assistance to public elementary school students including free pencils, notebooks, bags, uniforms and even shoes.
