A 40-year-old businessman was shot dead in Pasay City last Sunday night by a neighbor following an altercation.
Prober said the victim, identified as Vicente Ortega, was killed at around 8 p.m. in front of his own house on J. Luna street in Barangay Tramo, where he had just moved.
PO3 Miguel Manginga said the suspect, identified as one Tochi Romeral, immediately fled after the incident.
Initial investigation showed that Ortega was shot several times with a handgun with unknown caliber.
He was rushed by relatives to the San Juan de Dios Hospital, where he died upon arrival.
Manginga said the victims family recalled that the suspect had an axe to grind against the suspect following an altercation two weeks ago, when Ortega moved in.
"Sabi nung pamilya ng biktima medyo mainit ang dugo nung suspect sa biktima. Nagaway na nga daw yung dalawa nung paglipat palang nila doon mga two weeks ago," he stressed in an interview. Edu Punay
