Massacre in Taguig

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) vowed yesterday to exhaust all means and resources possible to solve last Sundays brutal killing of a family of three and a housemaid inside their house in Western Bicutan, Taguig City.
Metro police chief director Vidal Querol immediately ordered the creation of a special task force to investigate and hunt down the attackers, who even beheaded the mother and raped the housemaid before killing her.
The bodies of Antonio Napura, 55; his wife Aida, 44; their daughter Haidee, 3; and housemaid Tata Nieves, 18, were discovered at around 6 p.m. in separate rooms of their house on ISG Village in Barangay Sto. Nino.
All four sustained stab wounds in various parts of the body.
Responding Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) said they first found the fathers body on the kitchen floor. Apart from multiple stab wounds, the suspects also strangled him as shown by a laceration on his neck. A curtain rod was recovered beneath the body.
Investigators then found the headless body of the mother inside the masters bedroom. A bloodstained bolo was found on the chest of the mother. Police were still searching for the head as of press time.
The bodies of the maid and the young daughter were found inside another room.
The maid was naked and may have been raped before being stabbed several times by the killers. The daughter had lacerations on the neck.
The SOCO team said all four had been dead for hours before a relative, who works in the familys bakery found the bodies.
The relative, identified as Harold Noble, told investigators that he had to forcibly open the main door after sensing there was something wrong.
Taguig police chief Superintendent Ramon Reyes told reporters that they have yet to establish the motive for the massacre.
However, he said they are discounting robbery in the initial investigation. Although the house was ransacked, the familys jewelry and other belongings remained intact.
There were no signs of forcible entry in the house.
"We are following a strong lead. We are sure the suspects are still around and just within the area," Reyes explained. "This killing looks to have been well planned."
Police also stressed that the killing may have been motivated by anger or "because not even expert criminals would cut off their victims head for no reason."
The investigating team is composed of operatives from the City Police Station Investigation Division, District Intelligence and Investigation Unit, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and Regional Intelligence and Investigation Division.
Meanwhile, Taguig Mayor Freddie Tinga has given the police force his full support in the investigation and solving of the killing.
"If there is a need for us to apply the reward system to get the suspects, we will do so," he said.
