PDLT installs instant phones in Makati

-
The Philippine Long Distance and Telephone Co. (PLDT) yesterday gave residents of two Makati City barangays the opportunity to have landline phones installed in their homes in less than 24-hours.

Residents trooped to the special activation booths set up in Barangay Santa Clara and San Roque to avail of the promo.

PLDT’s Bilis Kabit project, which was launched last April 28, offers instant landline phone installation and a free phone unit for applicants.

Those seeking to avail of the promo need only to present an identification card, proof of billing, and advanced payment for the first month of service.

PLDT re-introduced its project in Makati City as the locality celebrates its 335th founding anniversary with concerts, street parties, fun and games, and other activities.

Freebies were also given away to phone applicants.

PLDT assistant vice president for retail acquisition Patrick Tang said they were happy to have made people happy.

According to him, the Bilis Kabit program is definitely making waves and has been availed of by tens of thousands of people nationwide.

Tang said the promo will probably go on until the end of the year because of the overwhelming response from people and PLDT’s own commitment to be of service to the public by keeping them connected.

PLDT phones, he added, are now something which everyone can enjoy because of NDD calls and PLDT calls to Smart mobile phone users priced at P10. It also offers Internet services like VIBE and myDSL. — Michael Punongbayan
