Caloocan allots P13 M for devt projects

Caloocan City Rep. Luis "Baby" Asistio allotted P13 million for road and waterways development projects, particularly in the flood-prone Dagat-Dagatan area in the citys second district.
Asistio said he placed Dagat-Dagatan among his priorities as the area urgently needs development. Residents in Dagat-Dagatan, for one, suffer the most from the perennial flood problem in the metropolis during rainy days.
"The residents voted for me expecting that I could also help them in return," Asistio said.
Asked to comment on the ongoing bickering at the city council over Malacañangs appointment of former mayor Reynaldo Malonzos son, Christopher, to the city council to replace a councilor who died last month, Asistio said, "I dont want to meddle into their problems."
The councilors boycotted last Tuesdays session after the young Malonzo reported to the session hall for the first time.
"I dont want to be a part of the problem, I want to be a solution to the problem," Asistio said. Pete Laude
