Balut, Tondo police station chief Superintendent Frumento Villareal has ordered a manhunt against the suspects following complaints from jeepney passengers and drivers of the rampant robbery incidents along Moriones and Road 10 streets reportedly perpetrated by juveniles high on drugs.
The suspects, whose ages range from 16 to 18, were nabbed one after the other by the stations motorized patrol composed of Inspector Ricardo Lorenzo, SPO3 Teody Ramos, SPO2 Virgo Villareal, SPO2 Romilyn Magtira, SPO2 Serafin Galpo, PO3 Robert Zapata, PO2 Jordan Tulio and PO3 Nestor Inot.
Seized from the suspects were various sizes of fan knives and plastic containers of rugby.
According to Villareal, the suspects would usually sniff rugby at their hideout along Chesa st. before going out at night to look for victims.
The suspects are reportedly members of the dreaded True Brown Style street gang and are easily identified as they sport a brown dye on their hair and wear an earring in one of the ears, Villareal said. The suspects victims identified them in a police lineup.
