P6 M goes up in smoke in Caloocan City fire

An estimated P6-million worth of property went up in smoke during a three-hour fire that broke out in a warehouse in Caloocan City on Sunday.
The Fortune Han warehouse located at 131 Lapu-Lapu st. in Dagat-Dagatan, Caloocan City was gutted by fire that started at its ground floor at around 12:10 a.m.
SFO2 Alfredo Santos said the blaze quickly spread to the industrial-commercial building owned by businessman Alfredo Soberano.
The fire reached the third alarm before firemen were able to put it under control an hour later.
The nearby Police Community Precinct 6 operatives, led by PO2 Jose Marie Elegores, PO2 Edsel Ablaza and PO1 Marlon Dimaano guarded the burning warehouse to protect it from looters.
Arson investigators are yet to determine the cause of the fire.
No one was reported injured in the blaze.
