Central Police District (CPD) authorities said four arrest warrants have been served against Editha Garcia since she was arrested two weeks ago.
"She is still under our custody and based on the number of complaints and cases we have against her, she will stay locked behind bars," CPD-District Intelligence and Investigation Division (DIID) chief Superintendent James Brillantes said.
"May tatlo pa pala siyang (She has three) warrants of arrest issued by Pampanga courts. We have complainants ngayon na galing pa ng (who came all the way from) Angeles," Brillantes said.
Garcia was nabbed by CPD-DIID operatives at her residence in Montalban, Rizal after weeks of surveillance.
She had been on the wanted persons list for a long time for syndicated estafa charges involving multi-million peso scams.
Garcia and her common-law husband Roberto Cuizon, who was also nabbed in an entrapment operation in Quezon City, had allegedly lured their victims to invest into fake business ventures, mostly involving bunker and oil products.
The victims were promised large amounts as profits and disappear after getting the money.
"We urge all those who may have been victimized by the couple to come out now so we can help them file more charges," Brillantes said. Evelyn Macairan
