Train kills carpenter

A carpenter was killed last Tuesday after he was hit by a train in Makati City.
Senior Police Officer 1 Miguel Descalzo, traffic investigator, identified the fatality as Reynaldo Pura, who just celebrated his 49th birthday last June 20. Descalzo said Pura had just finsished washing clothes inside their house along the Philippine National Railways (PNR) tracks in Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City when he decided to go out to talk to one of his children who was sitting on the roof.
As he looked upward with his back to the tracks, a train (Body No. 405) moving southward hit him and dragged his body some 250 meters. Evelyn Macairan
