4 people killed in traffic accidents in Pasig and Marikina

Four people were killed, including the wife of a policeman and six others were injured in separate vehicular accidents in Marikina City and Pasig City last night.
Declared dead on arrival at the Garcia Hospital in Marikina City were Christopher Mora, 27; and his nephew, Jay Nelson Larcena, 18; both residing at Mercury Homes in Barangay Parang.
Senior Superintendent Felipe Rojas Jr., Marikina City police chief, said the victims were on board a tricycle driven by Simplicio Cabalso Jr., when rammed by a speeding L-300 van, with license plate TKV-566, along Claro M. Recto St. in Barangay Parang at about 7 p.m.
Rojas said the vans driver, Ricky Barsanan, 27, lost control of the vehicle along Gen. Ordoñez St. and drove straight to the tricycle and pinned the victims inside.
The van also rammed into a Nissan Sentra injuring its occupants identified as Rolando Jover, 60; his wife Clarita Luna, 62; and an unidentified bicycle rider.
They were rushed to the nearby Amang Rodriguez Medical Center where they are presently being treated.
Rojas said Barsanan will be charged with reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide and physical injuries.
Five minutes later, Rogelio Luberiano, 52, was crossing the eastbank Road in Barangay Sta. Lucia in Pasig City when hit by a speeding motorcycle driven by Jeffrey Piano.
Witnesses said Luberiano was thrown a few meters away upon impact and landed on the cement road head first.
Responding policemen arrested Piano, who is presently detained at the Pasig City police Traffic Enforcement Group (TEG).
Meawnhile, At 10 a.m. yesterday, a speeding Tamaraw FX rammed a bus of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) along E. Rodriguez Ave., in Barangay Ugong, resulting to the death of Jessica Salaysay, 35.
Salaysays husband, a policeman assigned in Laguna, was hurt.
Witnesses said the Tamaraw FX driven by Salaysays husband was maneuvering atop a flyover when a colored white Elf truck suddenly made a U-turn.
Salaysay tried to evade the Elf truck but rammed his vehicle into an oncoming MMDA vehicle, driven by Romy Castillo, 37.
Castillo and his companion, Danilo Navarro, also sustained injuries. Non Alquitran
