Rep. Eduardo Zialcita (Lakas) won a fresh mandate as representative of Parañaque Citys first congressional district as he garnered nearly 10,000 votes more than his closest rival.
Final official tally from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) showed Zialcita beating rivals Tomas Banaga, Jaime Nery and others in all barangays comprising Parañaques old district.
Meanwhile, former national security adviser Roilo Golez clinched the congressional seat in the citys newly-created second district after three-term mayor Joey Marquez conceded a day after the polls closed.
Both Zialcita and Golez have been officially proclaimed winners by the Comelec.
