Bad weather stalls MRT
May 21, 2004 | 12:00am
The heavy rains and strong winds not only brought down several trees in Quezon City, but also toppled a billboard, delaying operations of the Metro Rail Transit (MRT).
The billboard fell from a building in Cubao at around 1:30 p.m. Strong winds then carried the billboard toward the MRT tracks near Aurora Boulevard.
Commuters were stranded for about an hour. Operations resumed after the tracks were cleared of debris.
