Bulaong said that uniformed policemen will be assigned to polling precincts in Manila tagged by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) as "areas of immediate concern."
The WPD chief, however, is confident that the election in the countrys capital will be "generally peaceful" as indicated during the 40-day campaign period.
"During the campaign period, police recorded no major election-related violence. We hope calmness reigns among our candidates and their respective supporters," Bulaong noted.
There are 1,019,472 registered voters in the six districts of Manila, with District 1 (Tondo) having the highest number of voters (227,912).
District 5 (San Andres, Ermita, Malate) has the second highest registered voters at 206,315. District 4 (Sampaloc and a portion of Sta. Mesa) was ranked third with 151,123 voters.
