4 security guards nabbed for gardener’s murder

A 28-year-old gardener is now in critical condition after four security guards at the BF Homes Subdivision in Parañaque City shot him and his companions at the entrance of the village on Saturday evening.

Police probers said the victim, Gilboy Guatcho, a resident of Governor A. Santos Street, Phase III, West Riverside, BF Homes, and some friends played basketball with residents of Delarama Street in BF Homes Subdivision. But while at play the two groups had a heated argument.

At around 8 p.m. Guatcho and 10 other men marched toward the subdivision’s entrance gate hoping to confront the other players.

But on-duty security guards, prevented them from entering the premises and allegedly fired shots which hit the victim in the face and the left side of his body.

Inspector Glenn Tigson of the Criminal Investigation Division-Parañaque City police, said the victim was brought to the Ospital ng Maynila for treatment.

Frustrated homicide charges are now being readied against Roldan Cabeson, 26, of Purok Gumamela Street, Clinic Ville, Delarama, BF Homes, Parañaque City; Charles Rabanes, 24, of 170 South Daang Hari, Bagong Tanyag, Taguig; Rowelyn Castillo, 31, of 10 Martigan Street, Phase III, BF Homes, Parañaque City; and Allan Rom 31, a stay-in security guard at F. Cruz Street, Sector 10 BF Homes.

All four are employed by the Blaster Security and Investigation Company. Evelyn Macairan
