The Parañaque City police launched a manhunt for the two remaining suspects in the robbery and murder of a freelance producer after four of their alleged cohorts were apprehended in an entrapment operation on Thursday.
Five days after the death of Jonathan Hernandez, the Parañaque City Police-Anti-Carnapping (ANCAR) division apprehended Allan Dipalac, 28, of 27 Creen Drive 1, SAV-8, Sucat; Peter Dino Croox, 19, of Block 2, Lot 3, Raymon Ville, Sucat; Joseph Cunanan, 19, of 8987 Ilaya Street, Barangay Sto. Niño; and B-Jay Dulay, 17, of 8152 Dahlia Street all of Parañaque City.
SPO3 Elpidio Soquina, Parañaque-ANCAR chief, said that when they coordinated with the Makati City police, they learned that Hernandez gray Honda Civic, with license plates TLL-469, was also stolen.
PO1 Randy Laman, of the Makati police criminal investigation division, said the 26-year-old Hernandez died due to several stab wounds inside his residence at the 27th floor of Pasong Tamo Tower along Don Chino Roces Avenue.
Laman said a surveillance camera inside the building caught Cunanan and the two suspects at-large. Cunanan, who is a first year Hotel and Restaurant Management student, said the victim allegedly owe one of the suspects an undetermined amount of cash.
"Ive only known one of them for about a month in a basketball game. He invited me to go with them to Makati, but I was only asked to stay near the elevator on the 27th floor while the two of them entered Hernandez room," said Cunanan.
He denied having knowledge that the two other suspects planned to kill Hernandez and steal his car.
