Quezon City Rep. Nanette Castelo Daza (4th district) turned over 38 service vehicles yesterday to Quezon City Mayor Feliciano Belmonte Jr. to boost the mobility of barangay officials in delivering basic services to the people.
The turnover of additional vehicles was witnessed by Councilors Eric Medina, Resty Malangen, Anna Susano and Wilma Amoranto Sarino.
Belmonte thanked the solon for the "legislative support" from the House of Representatives.
He said the city government has been the beneficiary of development funds from senators and congressmen. These funds have been used for the construction of police stations and implementation of social service programs for the poor residents of the city.
He said development programs of senators and congressmen will be given priority by the city government.
"We will set aside our program to pave the way for their projects. We do not block any support from lawmakers," Belmonte said.
The mayor also lauded Daza as the biggest contributor to the city government and for her full support which has complemented the city governments development programs.
"We welcome the effort of our congresswoman, who is incidentally the vice chairman of the House committee on appropriation," Belmonte said. Perseus Echeminada
