After an intense three-hour manhunt, the Western Police District (WPD) arrested a worker who allegedly killed the husband of his wifes sister during the feast of the Sto. Niño in Tondo, Manila last Sunday night.
Police said Marlon Nodalo, 30, was arrested inside the house of a relative in Novaliches, Quezon City.
Senior Inspector Alejandro Yanquilling Jr., chief of the WPD-Homicide Section, said Nodalo was positively identified by witnesses as the one who attacked victim Wilfredo Arguelles.
Arguelles had 18 stab wounds in the body and died while being taken to a nearby hospital.
Police said the victim tried to stop Nodalo from beating his wife, which irked the suspect.
Yanquilling said the killing took place at around 10:30 p.m. on Solis street in Tondo.
Upon receiving the reports about the stabbing, Yanquillings Night Hawk Squad responded and hunted down the suspect. Cecille Suerte Felipe
