Taiwanese robbed, killed

A 21-year-old Taiwanese student was shot dead by two men who held him up last Sunday in Valenzuela City.
A belated police report reaching the office of Northern Police District (NPD) director Chief Superintendent Marcelino Franco Jr., identified the victim as Chiu Hsuan-jung of 303 A-Jade Garden Town Homes, Don Pedro Subdivision in Barangay Marulas.
The victim, a student of Fatima College, also in Valenzuela City, succumbed to a single gunshot wound on the left side of his body.
Police report said the victim, was with a Taiwanese friend at the International Exchange Bank branch along MacArthur Higway to withdraw cash from the ATM at around 12:15 a.m.
As Chiu waited for his friend outside the ATM booth, two armed men approached him.
The suspects shot the victim at close range and grabbed his money. The suspects escaped using the victims motorcycle, a blue Yamaha with plate number UD-3138. Pete Laude
