Dismissed cop commits suicide

After failing in his initial try, a dismissed policeman succeeded in ending his life by jumping from the third floor of a hospital in Mandaluyong City last Thursday.
Candelario Villamor Jr., 35, formerly assigned at the Regional Mobile Group (RMG) in Bohol, sustained severe head and body injuries and died on the spot.
Last Jan. 12, Villamor was rushed to the Medical City hospital in Ortigas Center after stabbing himself twice in the chest .
Senior Superintendent Ericson Velasquez, Mandaluyong City police chief said the victim was a former patient of a drug rehabilitation center. He was dismissed from the police service because of his drug habit.
At about 8:45 p.m. last Thursday, Villamor left his hospital bed and went wild sending the ward into confusion.
He punched the glass window of the hallway on the 3rd floor, jumped and landed on the pavement.
Doctors tried to save him, but failed. Non Alquitran
