Police identified the victims as Genel Lacson, 24, and Totoy Herrera, 21. Their bodies were discovered at around 4:30 a.m. at 1 Daisy street, Purok 6, Lower Bicutan.
Lacson, the daughter of the bakery owner, was found on the floor while Herrera, a baker, was found on the sofa, investigators said.
Prober SPO4 William Dam said suspect Jose Diyandante, alias Kulot and a helper in the bakery, fled with the kitchen knife used in allegedly stabbing the victims at around 3 a.m.
"Neighbors said they heard Lacson shouting for help," said Dam. "When they arrived, the killer was already gone."
Police said they have yet to establish the motive for the twin slay, but are conducting a follow-up investigation.
Investigators, however, have ruled out robbery as a possible motive since no cash or valuables have been reported missing.
Meanwhile, another baker was stabbed dead the other day in Las Piñas City.
The victim, Melencio Domingo, 37, of 1 Talon street, Evergreen Homes, Pulang Lupa I, was killed at around 11:15 p.m. along Upo street, police said.
Prober said the suspects, brothers Roderick and Lito Racadag, allegedly killed Domingo after he had mediated in an altercation that arose during a drinking spree.
