QC issues advisory on road closures

All roads leading to ABS-CBN and GMA-7 are expected to experience heavy traffic today as the two giant television networks hold their annual Christmas party from noon to 1 a.m. the following day.
Assistant City Administrator for External Affairs and Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS) chief Manuel Sabalza, said Lopez street from Tomas Morato Extension to Mother Ignacia street will be closed during the said period.
Near the GMA-7 complex, , 11th Jamboree Extension from Timog Avenue to EDSA will also be closed from noon to 1 a.m. tomorrow.
Meanwhile, a portion of Banaue street from N. Roxas to Maria Clara streets will be closed from noon to 1 a.m. the following day to give way for the "Paskuhan sa Banaue."
Sabalza has ordered the deployment of DPOS personnel to handle traffic in the said areas to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and maintain order for the duration of the celebration.
The DPOS chief also advises motorists to avoid the affected areas for their travel convenience.
