New list of kidnap suspects released

- Jaime Laude -
National anti-kidnapping czar Angelo Reyes made public the identities of 14 more kidnapping suspects in line with the government‘s strategy to address the kidnapping menace.

The 14, according to Reyes, represent the second batch of suspects being pursued by joint military and police elements of the National Anti-Kidnapping Task Force (NAKTAF).

They were identified as PO2 Allan Estrada, Teddy Padre, Neil Cutad, Romeo Puria, Felizardo Pagulayan, Ronnie Tan, More Panday, Ambrudin Maracarilang, Ronald Roilan, Pecasiano Tagle, Joel Bunales, Sergio Panday, Mario Valerio and Arnel Suellen.

Estrada has a P1-million bounty on his head while the rest have P500,000.

Earlier, NAKTAF released to the public the identities of the nine top kidnapping gang leaders operating in the country. This came after NAKTAF agents killed the most wanted kidnap gang leader, Dr. Roberto Obeles-Yap, in an encounter in Bataan.

The publication of the photographs resulted in the apprehension of two kidnap gang leaders following information by tipsters.

"To sustain our tempo, we are presenting another roster of 14 most wanted kidnappers in addition to the 10 we presented to you before," Reyes told reporters at a Camp Aguinaldo press conference. "Hopefully, we can get the same positive response we received with the previous publication."

Reyes said that anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of the suspects can call the NAKTAF’s hotline at 727-0000.
