Fr. Albert Tanghal, parish priest of the Malate Catholic church and resident of 20-E Matutom street in Barangay St. Peter in Quezon City, was naked and lying in a pool of blood with multiple stab wounds when his cousin found him last Tuesday.
According to PO1 Romel Merino, officer-on-case, the body was discovered by Alberto Remando at 11 p.m. inside the victim’s room.
Crime scene investigators said the master’s bedroom was in disarray. Police later said the priest’s cell phone and valuables were missing. — Katherine Adraneda
