Las Piñas police chief Superintendent Armando Pineda attributed the record to the support and guidance of Las Piñas City Mayor Vergel Aguilar and the active involvement of the people in the community. He also cited police visibility, support of barangay officials, non-government organizations and civilian volunteers in the successful and efficient solution of crimes.
For his part, Aguilar commended the police and urged them to remain vigilant to be able to successfully eliminate criminal elements in the community.
Aguilar appealed to the village officials and the people to cooperate fully with the police force in putting a stop to all forms of criminality in their villages, including illegal drugs.
