Faulty installation of electrical jumpers might have triggered a fire that gutted some 17 houses in Baclaran, Parañaque City yesterday afternoon.
The Parañaque City Fire Department said the fire struck a row of houses on Mactan and L. Garcia streets at around 1:15 p.m. and was placed under control by 2:42 p.m.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Jesus Bayani Jr., arson investigator, and Baclaran Barangay Chairman Roland Cailles said they suspect that a power overload, caused by the installation of electrical jumpers, might have caused the fire. Evelyn Macairan
