Cop arrested for grave threats

A 32-year-old Quezon city policeman was arrested yesterday morning for allegedly threatening a cameraman in a hotel in Manila.
Police Officer 2 Eric Rano, of the Central Police District (CPD) was arrested by responding patrol units of the Western Police District (WPD) after Donato Villanueva, a cameraman, reported that Rano threatened to shoot him in front of Room 508 of the Las Palmas Hotel in Malate, Manila.
Investigation revealed that Rano and Villanueva had an altercation outside the room, occupied by a certain Helen Kurokawa, which prompted Rano to draw his gun and point it at Villanueva.
Villanueva, who claimed that he was an ex-lover of Kurokawa, reported the incident to the WPD mobile patrol unit, which apprehended Rano and brought thim to the WPD headquarters for investigation.
