A Chinese businessman was arrested for selling some 100 grams of shabu worth P120,000 during a buy-bust operation in Tondo, Manila, over the weekend.
Peter Chou, alias Chou Fe Lang, 37, of Masangkay street was nabbed last Friday by operatives of the Western Police District (WPD) Anti-illegal drug special Operations Group after handing over to an undercover policeman several granules of shabu contained in a backpack.
The police earlier received information on the illegal activitities of Chou, who is reportedly using his white Mitsubishi Adventure with license plates KJK-333 for his drug transactions.
Police said a deal was set with Chou at about 5:30 p.m. on Friday at the corner of Masangkay and Luzon streets in Tondo. A police asset had introduced the undercover cop to the suspect, who ordered the lawman to board his vehicle to carry out the deal.
After the exchange of drugs and money, the policeman signaled his colleagues waiting nearby to arrest Chou.
Chou is now detained at the WPD jail. Jose Aravilla
